Vintage Saint Leban Chateau and Vineyard Riddling Rack. It was manufactured by the Saint Leban Vineyard, as indicated by it’s stamp, and located in the Epernay region of France; in the cradle of Champagne. Fabricated of French Oak and holds 120 bottles. With a wonderful patina and dark hues, this is an outstanding piece of functional decor actually used in the processing of Champagne/Wine in the historic underground caves of France. It was imported from France in the early 2000’s and can be seen in our shop.
The Epernay region is credited with first developing this technique of riddling the wine and champagne in the early 1800’s and continues to manufacture riddling racks for the world.
