Exceptional rare piece from Pewabic Pottery. The tile depicts Kipling’s Mowgli astride Baloo. Created by Pewabic Pottery in the quintessential “Pewabic Green” glaze in 1955, of Marshall Fredericks Boy & Bear Sculpture commissioned by JL Hudson for the Northland Center Mall in 1954. The tile has been discontinued and is very rare. It is framed, with a wood surround of quarter-sawn Oak, 7.5″ x 7.5″. The tile is 4″ x 4″.
